Kenya!!!!

Hey everyone, As you may of guessed I have not blogged in a long time 3 months to be exact! Well as many of you know I am going to Kenya on a missions trip. Where we will be going to build houses for massai widows, and visiting an orphanage and lots more things aswell.

I am heading off this friday and will be going for 2 weeks. I will be going with Alex and Linda again and a group of college age people from cork who I have got to know well over the last few months.

Tonight I had a prayer evening where I chatted more about my trip and answered any questions about the trip and we then had a time of prayer. It was a great evening and it was very encouraging and cool to see people and know myself and the team are being prayer for while we are all away on the trip.

Cork!! Easter Weekend

Hey everyone just back from Cork where I got to stay with Alex and Linda Gason in their brand new house since their move to Cork. It was a brilliant time down there got to see the cool places around Cork and most important got to hang out with Alex and Linda which was great.

On the Friday I got there we got a little tour around the city and then we went to Murphys Chipper on Gerald Griffin Street, and it was prolbaly the best chipper I have had in years.

On the Saturday I went tubing with Alex and Andrew in Crosshaven which was is one word is awesome!! Going 60mph and then flying off into the sea loads of fun!.

On Easter Sunday I got to Grace Fellowship Church where Alex and Linda are doing training with their youth leaders similar what they did during their time at citygates. After church we went to the local pub for lunch and it was good time to talk things through on how youth at the church is going and asking for key advice on things that are of some concern.

Later on we went to Cobh for more touring and we found a cool shop that sold all the old sweets back when we were kids so it was good times. We all got Dib-Dabs and jelly snakes. Ah the good times!

On Easter Monday we had a kinda of lazy day and went into Cork City for a little more touring and shopping (which is always lots of fun!).

Hey , I had a great christmas spent it in Wolverhampton, UK with all my mums side of the family which was very cool and great to hang out with my cousins as we dont see much of them as all. It was mad on Christmas Day with 14 people all opening presents and having them been given out in a quick fashion.

I got a surfing voucher for bundoran for a weekend of 3 lessons and two night acommodation which is cool as I didnt expect it as well I didnt ask for a specfic present this year so it got my parents guessing what they could get me.

Another note I spoilt myself and got a ps3 with blueray movies and a few games so spending the evenings with something half decent to do now which is better. I also upgraded my digital camera to a Canon Eos 400d which I am very excited about using and hope to get lots of fun outta of it.

Christmas is upon us

So christmas is just around the corner and it when this time of year people are rushing out and gettin the best pressie they can find. Just to remind people of what this year is about is that is when Jesus was born and we are celebrating his birth.

There is nothing wrong spending ur money on presents just to remember what this time of year is about. One of my Friends Matt Kingsley is doing the alternate and buying a laptop for a child in africa one of those 100 dollar ones which really encouraging to see the development in africa going on.

hey so here is an update what im up at the moment. I still enjoying work and love every bit of it to the small things to the big things. I have been given more demanding projects so basically im now in charge of updates to volkswagen.ie and Im currently working on a redesign of the main flash banner on the site which is great for me as my design skills are improving all the time.

Now onto youth work!, we have just done 4 weeks of gap and it has gone brilliant. We have got to hangout with all the new teens and have got to know them really well. The leaders team are working good together and we have now decided on teens who we will taking on this year as junior leaders which is really exciting and the teens I talked to and really keen in how they can grow. The idea is each teen will learn some aspect of what we do at gap and learn from the leaders of what we do behind the scenes of planning for gap.

On the gap building front the whole team would love your prayers as we have relised that we will most likely have to left the building and find somewhere else to meet. We ask for pray as we all know how faithful and giving god has been in providing us a place to meet.

A new year and new adventures

So it has started a new school year ( sorry teens!) We as leaders in gap just had our first meeting for planning gap and it went really well and we have some great ideas of how we can get new things done. We ask for pray as we start gap this time on our own after alex and linda have left. They have helped us with some great training and general help.

this is a long post coming, i have not had the time to blog since I was in boston. My holiday was a blast and I decided I better blog again!

As of now I have been and gone to Teenstreet which was brilliant. GOD IS SO GOOD!! He worked wonders throught me and the other leaders and we pulled together and worked well.

I am back in the swing of work at carzone.ie and enjoying it loads!

My good friends Alex and Linda Gason are back from their around the world and and I cant wait to meet up with them and hear all their stories.

Thats a brief post but hopeing to update in more detail real soon.

Providence Place Mall

Hey people! we went to providence place mall today and went shopping and I am very happy as I bought my first laptop! and you guessed it a macbook pro!! I decided to buy as it saves me about 450 euro compared to irish prices. In a nutshell it is awesome!!

So Kingsley! we both now have the top of the range macbook pros!!

Arrived in Boston

howya people, having a great relaxing time in boston. The house we are staying at is brilliant. We went to bristol, rhode island on the 4th july for the oldest 4th july parade in the states. It was a bit mad lots of fun and as you can imagine a fair bit of food too!.

I went to the red sox vs tampa bay last night and it was class. Red Sox won 15-4 and we got to see a grand slam which is always lots of fun.

Today we are chilling my the pool as its a nice 24 degrees today. Oh by the way the pool is like the size of the living and playroom in my house in Ireland. Ok bye for now will post again soon.

The Who Marlay Park

I was in marlay park last nite for The Who concert. It was freaking brilliant and it was great craic to see some rockers from the past rocking out marlay park. I went with Ray Kenderick who is an awesome Who fan and told me a fair few stories. I have to give my thanks to him as he gave me the tickets to go to the concert.

I moved into the sloanes on thursday evening as my family is in boston and we are going a house exchange. I am chilling with andy my temp bro till tuesday when i go to the states. They are being really kind and good to me. I have settled in well and got better sleep the 2nd night.

It is very soon until I leave to go to Boston. I will be joining up with my family in Rhode Island a week after they have arrived there due to lack off holidays in work as I will be using the other week of my holidays to go to teenstreet in august.

As with any holiday I have a list and I plan to buy a few things!. Mainly ipod and mac accessories as they are way cheaper in the states compared to here. That will cover my tech stuff to buy hopefully but with usa being so dirt cheap for stuff who know what else I might get.

Just like a heads up to Stan as he will be a new switcher to mac from wednesday when he get a powerbook. Well Done Stan.

I have just started yo get into last.fm, its a great site you can list all the music you listen to and create an Album quilt (see the side of my blog). It acts like a community and you can have friends on it like other sites. It is well worth a visit and also it can read what you have playing in itunes and you can 'tag' music with names.

Update Overhaul

Hey another long update, cause as of late not much to report! Well its roughly 8 weeks away till I go on holiday to Boston for my Cousin David Reuters Wedding (Finally! He is 35!!). So I have started preparing things we can do and people to see and shops to go to!!. I have decided not to plunge and get a mac laptop as at present I can't justify the needs to have a laptop as I dont have much design work to do outside of work. But I decided to put the money aside so I wont waste it on crap which happens alot sometimes.

So no new toys as of yet but I will keep you posted If I do buy any new toys while in the states. I am enjoying work and have now been in teh job 3 months and it going great and I am branching out onto doing more flash which is cool as Im building up my skillset.

On another note I just signed up to Last.fm which is an online radio website and program and cool and should try and If so add me as a friend!.

Season is Hotting Up!!

The football season is in the final stage, and its looking really good. Being a utd fan it is brilliant. Firstly Man utd vs Chelsea in the FA Cup Final, then the Champions League Semi-Final nxt week and the Title run in for the premiership which again Man Utd will play chelsea. It will be tight but I am 100% confident for United to clean up and win at least teh double (being Premiership & FA Cup) with waiting to see how we get on against AC Milan.

The Police

On Tuesday I bought pre-sale tickets for the Police, who are playing in Croke Park, Dublin on Saturday 6th October 2007. The tickets werent cheap but why miss the reunited band The Police. It will be lots of fun as my Dad got tickets too and my whole family will be going to the concert and aswell as who ever buys the extra tickets from me!

PayDay @ Webzone

Today I got my first payslip at webzone and it rocked as I am a better salary than my old job and I now get great satisfaction from doing my work everyday. I can now plan for the future and more importantly I have enough money saved for the macbook pro which is great news. I wont be getting it just yet as I have Flights to pay for for my trip to Boston.

Once I get my laptop will post a review and pictures just to make Matt Kingsley a bit jealous!

Two post in one day! For a while now I have had flickr but never used it. Recently i changed my account info to something people could remember. It is a great way to store photos online and it is very powerful. You can register at www.flickr.com and its free, also for a small 25 dollars a year you can have pro account allowing unlimited photo storage and unlimited uploads of your photos. I recommend you go check it out if you haven't done already. Also you can add contacts of your friends which is cool. I have a few photos sets and will add more over time.

Job Going Well & Stuff!

Hey, its time for another update! I am doing well in my new job been there 6 months and loving it. Its great I get to design new websites for clients and get to chat to the clients and help them out as well. At the moment I am working on a site for a company out in galway and rocks.

On the youth work front, St. Patrick's Weekend I went to the Youth Leaders Training Conference as apart of Youthworks. It was great fun we got to learn in depth on looking at a bible passage (2 Tim 1: 8-12) and how we can relate to it. Youthworks is going well we are now doing New Testament Survey and I will be doing a project on Titus which I am looking forward to doing.

i got great news on Monday I call back from my interview I had on Friday with Webzone Ltd . They asked me to come in on tuesday and they formally offered me the job. I am excited about this new job as it has more scope than the last job and I will have the chance to get involved in different aspects of the company on the technical side too. I don't have a start date yet as they need a computer for me, this is the great part they ordered me a brand new computer which will be high spec model!.

The job will mainly deal with doing new redesigns for current clients and edits of others sites and talking to clients about their currents sites. I will let people know when I start.

Whats nxt?

hey its been a while since i last blogged. So here I go, some of you may know that I was let go from my job as parts of the job didnt suit me so im umemployed for the nxt while. But i had an interview with webzone this past friday and it went really well. So at the moment I am doing a website for fine gael and I am using that money to get a macbook pro!!!!!. (Matt Kingsley, will be jealous!!!)

So thats it for now hopefully some good news next week so I will get more blogs up nxt week.

so on tuesday apple released fresh version of the MacBookPros and they are very tasty looking and my plan has been buy a car and pay for the insurance and then save for the MacBookPro. But as of now im considering which one to get first they each have their own sets of pros and cons. The reason my mindset has changed is the new laptops have upgraded speed, ram and hard disk space which is a bonus for laptop and staying at the same price!

So as of now im decideding any comments would rock!

First Day on the Job

Today I started work at MediaOne. My Job is a web developer doing website maintainence and web design. Today was great I got to experience working in a proper IT environment which rocked even though by the end of the day I was totally wrecked.

I wasnt wrecked cause of the work but more than I haven't had to be up early in a long time and also on Sunday it was Thailand Sunday at City Gates and me and George (me bro) were up to 5am finishing the DVD and then had to get up at 9am to help set up.

So the last two days were tiring but had a blast aswell.

Many of you know that I went to Daft Punk last Friday with George & Matt Kingsley. Firstly it was one of the best expeirences of life at a concert. It was unexpected i wasnt sure what to expect. I didnt realise they would be mixing from start to finish. But they did and it rocked so much.

2 days then off to Thailand

hey, so only 2 days left and im off to thailand for 2 weeks on another missions trip!! As Phil Kingsley said im starting to become Mr. Missions. I got good news today my parents are going to donate some monet towards the Tamar Centre Banquet which is really cool.

So anyway today i have my last spar shift before I go so im slowly gettin stuff ready for thailand, yesterday i bought a load of bubbles for the Mercy Shelter Orphanage and they were really cheap but are still really good bubbles. I have all the important stuff like all the injections and various tablets so i might tomorrow even pack early!! ( Yeah Right!).

So until then I will just relax and try not to burn out too much
